I, S. Barry Lipin, have taken on the position of Chairman of the Capital Campaign to raise money for members of the “Lost Tribe” of which I am an included member.  Hearing Impaired individuals often have their needs overlooked and I know first hand what this group is pitted against.  I was born with the ability to hear, but then lost my hearing in my teenage years.  However, I had an energy and drive inside me that I just needed for success.  As I look at all of my accomplishments over the years, I feel as if my success is just a drop in the bucket compared to others who have been born Deaf and attempted to join normal  society.  This is becoming an easier feat to master everyday as     modern technology is developed. Within this group of Deaf and Hard of   Hearing, there are geniuses that can make the world a better place for all!  Who knows what they are capable of creating if the opportunity to learn and grow is provided. With your help on this project, I am sure that we would be able to set up numerous programs all over the world to achieve the same goals. 

If you saw a Deaf child dance on stage, to music they couldn’t hear, and you could see the joy and pride that is beaming across their face and shining through their eyes, your heart would melt and tears would fall.  Believe me.  This is something I have seen and it is an image I will never forget.
