Welcome to ICODA!

In 1973 while teaching at Northwestern University, I realized that Deaf and Hard of Hearing children had few opportunities to develop their creativity and talents to help them grow into self-confident, independent adults. It was then that my dream was born and turned into a lifetime crusade to provide the children with quality experiences in the arts. I wanted them to learn that they had much to contribute to the world and that by working together great achievements could occur.

ICODA Must Move, and We Need Your Help!

ICODA has lost its lease and we are currently looking for a new location. We are very excited to be moving to a new place that will provide us with some much needed extra space. However, since the timing of this move is somewhat unexpected we do not have moving costs worked into this year's budget. We need the help of our loyal supporters, and that is you! We have created a special link online for this project to help us raise the funds that will be needed. Click here to go to our special online Help Us Move Fundraising link:

A Wonderful Gift Opportunity!

Buy a beautiful hand blown glass heart necklace made by artist Hillel Rzepka or note cards that say "I Love You" in sign language.

Your purchase will help ICODA continue to provide quality arts programs as well as provide you with a beautiful gift for your loved one! Enter ICODA in the group name box so that we get credit for the sale. ICODA receives 50% of the sale, and is being handled by one of our very own alumni Sue Mandelson Cohn. Thank you Sue!!
